Refundable Damage Deposits Policy
Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation for ECHOSTAYS (East Coast Holidays Online) - Blenheim Beach House, Pelican Bay Waterfront and Burleigh Waters Retreat.
For the purpose of this document all of the above properties are hereby referred to as The Property.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect The Property, but the occasional misuse requires that we state the following conditions.
The guest making the booking accepts responsibility for all other guests either staying at or day visiting The Property.
Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited.
The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly, this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of the Refundable Damage Payment (RDP) and/or additional payments.
Guests are responsible to ensure bins are put out on bin collection night (see information sheet on fridge for details). Excess rubbish left by guests may incur additional tip fees.
The Property is not let out to groups for end of school celebrations.
Smoking is not permitted inside all areas of The Property. Ash trays are provided on the rear deck for outside smoking. Fines apply for smoking inside or throwing butts on the lawn or in the gardens.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the guests’ responsibility during their stay. The owners or their agent take no responsibility for the guests' personal property, nor for any injury.
Departure - The Property should be left in a same state to its condition on arrival. Otherwise additional cleaning fees may apply. Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare The Property for next guests.
Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of RDP.
The owners or their agent will make every effort to ensure The Property is available as booked. However, the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
RDP is payable at the same time as the balance amount. In some cases, the RDD will be refunded within 7 days (online payments via Stayz, AirBnB, TripAdvisor 7 days after checkout) subject to all of The Property conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared. etc.
We love animals ourselves, sorry but we do not take pets. The Property isn't fully fenced, we do not want pets inside as many people have allergies and such and there is also the local wildlife to consider.
Some properties have pushbikes available for your convenience. Your decision to use the bikes is entirely at your own risk, the owners or their agent are not liable for any loss or injury that may be sustained. Helmets are not provided due to health reasons. It is the guest responsibility to provide and wear a helmet.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner or their agent in writing.
Owners Special Terms
A Deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit (or any monies) constitutes the guests acceptance of The Property Terms and Conditions.
Balance of the rental amount and refundable damage payment (RDP) must be received in full 28 days prior to occupancy. If not, the owner or owners agent has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.
Cancellation if caused by the client, money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire cancelled period. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let, then a cancellation fee will apply.
The owners or their agent will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However, the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner or their agent in writing.
